Mr. Dembek's experience includes performing independent consulting work for USRA, including atmospheric numerical prediction studies with the WRF and MM5 models for the Short-term Prediction and Research Transition (SPoRT) Center at the NASA/National Space Science and Technology Center. He is currently collaborating with scientists at the National Severe Storms Laboratory, making improvements to the NSSL real-time WRF forecast output products available to forecasters at the Storm Prediction Center. He supported real-time forecasting efforts during the NASA African Monsoon Multidisciplinary Activities (NAMMA) Extended Observing Period under the Modeling, Analysis, and Prediction (MAP) Program during the summer of 2006, and implemented a real-time forecast suite at the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean (CATHALAC) as part of the Regional Monitoring and Visualization System for Mesoamerica (SERVIR). Mr. Dembek previously worked with the Drexel University Limited Area Mesoscale Prediction System (LAMPS) dynamic model and analysis package, and consulted with scientists at USRA, NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center, and NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center.
