Santiago Billy is a Guatemalan conservationist who has worked diligently to help protect the fragile ecology of his country. An avid photographer, Santiago continues to capture the flora and fauna of the Petén on film to make others aware of the growing threat to ecological habitats and the importance of conservation. In addition, he is an excellent guide who knows the environmental, social, and political landscape of the Petén.
