Workshop Objectives:
  1. Provide an overview of projects in the areas of Air Quality and Public Health that have cross-disciplinary relevance.

  2. Identify data needs of Air Quality and Public Health research and management communities.

  3. Develop partnerships and identify collaborative research opportunities.

  4. Provide training to facilitate collaborative productive interactions between the Atmospheric/ Earth Science and Public Health/Medical communities.

Earth observing satellites orbit the globe daily generating streams of data for scientists to study the environment. These observations are being used in studies of air quality, climate change, weather, hydrology, urbanization and other environmental phenomenon. Atmospheric and Earth scientists and Public Health researchers are working together in the field of environmental health research. The workshop’s goals and objectives are to further these productive collaborations.
