General Information: The NASA Public Health Program Review will be held September 27 – 29, 2010 at The Hotel Contessa, San Antonio, TX. The meeting will begin with a reception on September 27 at 6:00 pm and conclude at 3:30 p.m. on September 29.

Registration: You must register on the Public Health Website

Per Diem: The per diem rates for the San Antonio area are $117 for lodging.

Accommodations: A block of rooms has been reserved at The Hotel Contessa. The meeting rate is $108.00 per night plus 16.75% state and local tax per night.

The cut-off date to guarantee your room is Tuesday, September 12, 2010. After September 12 the block of sleeping rooms will be released, and rooms may not be available.

Riverwalk Tour: As a special treat on Tuesday night we have arranged to have a San Antonio River Tour and then we will be dropped off at the Casa Rio - River House. Casa Rio founded in 1946 and has been a local favorite for many years. We will collect $5.00 for the River tour and you will be responsible for paying for your own meal at Casa Rio. This is just a suggestion for dinner, there are many other great restaurants along the River Walk. You must register by August 20 th and we will collect cash from you at the registration table. The menu/information on the restaurant can be found at: http://www.casa-rio.com/ . This event is optional; you are not required to attend.

Parking: Parking is available at The Hotel Contessa for $28.00 a day for meeting attendees.

Airports: San Antonio International is approximately 10 miles (15 minutes) away from the hotel.

Shuttle Service – Airport Express Shuttle Service departs from the Airport from
7:00am to 1:30am daily. Shuttles depart from downtown hotels beginning at 4:am, approximately every 15 minutes, reservation required. Shuttle tickets are sold at the
baggage claim area, at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2

Taxicabs – Taxicabs are available at the exits of the terminal. The cost to the hotel is approximately $20-25.

Restaurants nearby: The Hotel is located on the Riverwalk which has many restaurants and shops.

Other Attractions: San Antonio has many historical sites to visit and don’t forget the Alamo which is nearby.
